Petroplus Marketing
Marketing is an important part of the supply chain.
Based on the input from the commercial organization, the optimal production is defined and the crude purchased accordingly. Once the refinery has produced the finished products, it is the main function of Marketing to sell the products. Marketing operates up to 20 points of sale in every country in which we operate and manages the supply to terminals either by rail-tank cars, pipe or exchanges. Our local sales teams maintain relationships with our customers daily and sell them our high quality products on a free on truck-basis from our terminals - either by spot, forward or term contracts. In total approximately 200 people are working for the different Marketing entities and around 20 million tons or two-thirds of our total refinery production is sold by the Marketing organisation.
